Duality is one of Martin Cooney’s lightest marble sculptures, weighing just 14.2 lbs and designed to be easily moved and enjoyed anywhere in your home. Its petite bowl offers a graceful place to rest rings, earrings, or small keepsakes, making it both beautiful and practical.
Carved from a specially selected small marble block, Duality features two thin, curving “sails” that interact beautifully with natural light. Throughout the day the sculpture shifts in mood as the marble absorbs and refracts sunlight; at night, a candle placed behind or within the shallow bowl creates a soft, glowing display.
Though delicate in appearance, Duality is built with Martin’s signature focus on structural integrity, developed over decades of stone‑carving experience. Like all pieces in his Collection Series, it is created to live with you — not sit untouched on a shelf. The underside of the base carries his mark and serial number, leaving the carved surfaces clean and uninterrupted.
