Compact in size but striking in form, Noah’s Ark is a playful yet precise sculpture that explores the illusion of imbalance. With a dramatic lean and sculpted tilt, the piece appears to defy gravity—yet remains firmly grounded thanks to a cleverly concealed counterbalance at its base.

Martin Cooney drew inspiration for this work from a cherished childhood memory: the original Noah’s Ark ride at Blackpool Pleasure Beach in northwest England. Much like that ride, the sculpture distorts perception, conjuring delight, nostalgia, and a touch of whimsy.

Solid, stylish, and full of charm, Noah’s Ark invites closer inspection—and rewards it with a masterclass in poise and personality.
