“Rough Around The Edge” is the tenth sculpture in the Liberty Collection and the seventy-sixth in the Collection Series. Hand-carved from Colorado Yule Marble using the Direct Method, this work embraces the raw beauty of the stone itself.
What sets her apart is the inverted bowl form, a choice inspired by the unique split face of the marble. This effect—millions of diamond-like facets sparkling in the light—can only be achieved through the Direct Method of drilling and splitting. No other technique produces this rare and captivating surface.
