Description
The Colorado Yule Marble – The Liberty Collection
Dimensions: 17 x 9 x 21″
Weight: 64 lbs
Tipping Point explores balance, illusion, and elevation through a deceptively simple form. At first glance, the sculpture appears to be two separate marble elements delicately poised one atop the other. In fact, both are carved from a single block of Colorado Yule Marble, joined by a subtle vertical seam at the precise point of balance.
Elevated on a tall plinth, the work commands attention and is designed to be viewed fully in the round. Its sweeping curvilinear lines shift as the viewer moves, creating a sense of motion and transformation through changing convex and concave forms. The surface is honed to an exceptionally refined finish, inviting tactile engagement as an essential part of the experience.
Carved from the same section of the Liberty Slab as Lofty Perch and Great Light Owl, Tipping Point shares closely related markings and tonal qualities, further defining the vertical “standing stone” direction within the Liberty Collection.
Tipping Point is the 18th sculpture in the Liberty Collection and the 85th work in the Collection Series—an elegant, portable, and visually compelling piece designed to engage changing light, space, and perspective.
